VPark

In December 2022, Veolia Korea started operating VPark, which is its new landfill in the KCC Ulsan Industrial Complex. This is the first landfill project built by Veolia Korea for the terminal disposal business of waste. The construction began in November 2021 and was completed in June 2022. It has a landfill capacity of 156,652m³ and both designated and general waste can be landfilled.

VPark is the Group’s first air-dome type landfill, designed to minimize the environmental impacts. Its structural design fundamentally blocks waste from exposure to rainwater, limiting leachate generation, and also helps prevent odor and ash diffusion. All the Group’s internal standards which are much stricter than local regulations were applied.

VPark aims for the stable treatment of waste generated from Ulsan including Uniken, and contributes to the improvement of the competitiveness of companies in the industrial complex and the development of the local community.
